Altrincham leisure leagues round-up

Chris Clarke was the star of the show this week for Whyte Celtic in the Altrincham Sunday Leisure League as they romped home 11-3 against Los Galacticos.

MU The Future were also big winners this week as Mike Curran helped them storm to a 10-0 demolition of Alty FC Idols.

Deportivo Pongolle held on for a stunning 7-5 victory over Usual Suspects in the thriller of the day, and Red Star Reserves’ exciting 5-3 success over Robbo Ltd sees them go top of the table by two points.

FC Mancunia edged through 4-3 against Clansmen as they look to climb away from the lower end of the table.

Red Star had to settle for second last time around, but began the new season well, hitting top spot with a Simon Thorley-inspired 6-2 thumping of Los Galacticos.

Champions Indoor Milan also won, struggling to a 2-1 victory over Massive Lobos as the title race looks set to be tight again.

MU The Future were impressive early starters, as Chris Cork helped them to a 7-4 cruise over Physics in Action, with Coming From Behind leading from the front this time and Steve Ashurst was the driving force behind their 3-1 triumph over Damon Hill 5.

Nevertoooldtolose didn’t, and beat Ajax Trees Down, 3-2, with the sextet of winners competed by Not Very Athletic – who found last season a struggle, but managed to prevail 6-3 this week against Pathetic Athletic, with Matt Johnston showing his best.
