Few changes in Sale and District Division

IN a thrilling Goodies Manchester Premier League match South Manchester RBL just lost out 8-7.5 and 172-149 at Budenbergs in a south Manchester derby.

Andy Cairns led the Buds charge with his 13th successive win of the season beating Lee Turner 21-10.

Hitting back for SBL were C Heyes 21-20 over G Soller, A France 21-8 against P Bailey, D Jenkinson 21-14 over D Parsons, C Price 21-8 over C Morrison and C Haynes 21-20 over N Jenkinson.

Backing Andy Cairns for Buds were C Mort 21-20 over C Armitage, Geoff Telford 21-5 over R Price, D Hooley 21-9 over G Beeley and M Telford 21-10 against D Kenyon.

Sale Excel were well beaten as they hosted St Joseph’s who cruised to a victory by 12-4 and 184-170.

In the winning frame for Sale were Alan Murray 21-15, M Foster 21-14, Roger Morgan 21-12, and G Davies 21-17 but in the losers corral were M Walker 15-21, G Hilton 18-21, D Baines 12-21, J Quinn 16-21, Noel Burrows 17-21 and J Blessyn 8-21.

In the Sale and District League division one there were few changes.

Levenshulme had no match, but remain comfortably in top spot.

Cringlewood A and Fallowfield both dropped fewer than 10 chalks in their games and now share second place.

Brooklands hang on at the top of division two but Pickering had a good win away to Longford whilst Cringlewood A lost away at Nursery so they have changed places again.

South West B.W had a convincing win at home to Partington to move back above Longsight, though the point difference is small.

At the bottom less than 10 points each separate Nursery, Carrington and Longford.
