Assault on July 13

THERE is still room for late entries to Europe’s first-ever Urbanathlon.
The event, an assault course suitable for walkers, joggers, families and fitness fiends alike, will kick off in Beswick, east Manchester, on Sunday, July 13.
Organiser John Dwan said: "All the ingredients are there, over the 10k urban assault course in the inspirational setting of SportCity, with 15 obstacles including the dizzying stairwells of the City of Manchester Stadium via the B of the Bang to mud-drenched fields and death slides to provide a challenge to end all challenges.
"If you’ve ever wanted to test yourself by running over parked cars, striding through rivers or scrambling through a giant spider’s web along with fellow urban athletes then this event is made for you.
"We have several top sponsors giving us support in the event and welcome late entries."
