New champions

THE Timperley and District JFL U13 Inter-league team are the proud new holders of the Manchester FA Albert Lyon Inter-League U13 Trophy.
Playing the Bury & Radcliffe League, the boys adapted to the scorching conditions better and raced into an early 3-0 lead with goals from Omar Thompson (2) and Sam Storey, which they held until the break.
Bury got back into the game with a cracker to make it 3-1 before Joe Kirk made it safe towards the end.
The match was played in good spirit with some great football at times, despite the heat, with both sets of players doing their league proud.
