Saints celebrate their anniversary

ST JOHN’S JFC U11s defeated league champions South Manchester (Cheadle) in the Timperley & District Junior League Divisional Cup Final at Trafford FC.
The win rounded off an excellent season for the club, which is this year celebrating its 10th anniversary.
After going a goal down in the first half, St John’s fought back with four second-half goals from E Kearney, C Bold, C Thomson and N Cortis to take the trophy 4-1. Credit should go to the players of both sides for their excellent sportsmanship, and for an energetic and skilful display in spite of the sweltering heat.
St John’s U11s are looking for three new players for next season, who should currently be in Year 6 at school. Anyone interested can ring Rob Knight on 07855 250 377.
