Band's big night

FRONTMAN Mike Keenan says his band is looking forward to what he thinks will be their biggest gig so far.
The Score is to headline the Academy 3 on Saturday, September 20, where they hope to wow the crowds with their 'old school' sound.
Lead singer Mike, 26 said: "We've played other venues like the Blackpool ballroom but we consider this our biggest gig particularly because it's in Manchester."
Made up of Mike, guitarists Matthew Boone and Simon Taylor, Calvin Hargreaves on bass and Tom Boone on drums, the band met while studying at Bishop Thomas Holford College but live in areas across Manchester, including Sale and Old Trafford.
Asked to describe their sound, Mike added: "I'd say we're very much old school as we're influenced bands like the Specials though we're also influenced by newer bands like Ocean Colour Scene."
