Artwork unveiled

AN EXHIBITION featuring everything from wedding dresses to drawings proved a big hit when it was unveiled at the Avenue Methodist Church, Sale.
Creative members of the congregation had joined forces with schools such Woodheys Primary and Ashton-upon-Mersey High to create the display, which was revealed during the annual summer fair.
Val Myers from the church said: "We had a large quilt, pictures by local schoolchildren, a flower arranging display and two wedding dresses on display.
"The schools had also produced good paintings of scenes around the church and a logo they had designed for us."
She said the church had received plenty of positive feedback about the exhibition.
