Bookies hit in armed raid

BETTING shop workers were threatened with a gun during a raid in Urmston.
The two robbers charged in to the William Hill shop on Station Road, at about 8.30pm on Wednesday, July 9.
One waited by the door while the other went over to the counter, pointed a black handgun at the ceiling and demanded money.
They made their escape with a quantity of cash, walking towards Church Road.
No one was hurt during the robbery.
The gunman was black, 6ft 4in tall and slim, with brown eyes, a thin face, thin nose. He was unshaven and wore a black knitted hat, blue tracksuit top, blue gloves and spoke with a Mancunian accent.
His accomplice was also black, 5ft 7in tall and stocky. He wore a light coloured navy jacket with the hood up covering his face and dark trousers.
