Recipe for success

YOUNG mums at a housing scheme for teenage parents have put together a cook book full of healthy recipes for the New Year.
The recipes, devised by mothers, children and staff at Christine Court in Altrincham, were collected for a book called Recipe Sensations.
It is available for anyone who makes a donation to the scheme, which is owned and run by the Manchester Methodist Housing Association.
Money raised will go towards toys for the children. Christine Court is one of five housing projects in Greater Manchester supported by the Housing Association for young mothers and their babies.
Resident Sophie Sharkey, whose daughter Annaleyse was born last Christmas, said: "We've had a good laugh, enjoyed some great food and learnt plenty of kitchen skills, too. It's much healthier and cheaper to make your own food, and there are plenty of fruit and vegetables in there."
Senior project officer Kate Woodward, who contributed her recipe for aubergine bake, said: "The ideas in the book are a real mix - some of the residents told us about dishes they had been cooking for years. All the recipes are relatively quick and easy to make."
