1, Bargain beauty
Now this is our kind of freebie -  a top-to-toe style makeover, for absolutely nothing. The Elegance Boutique is a free workshop setting up shop in the Trafford Centre on August 16-17, with experts offering free hair, beauty and style advice. It follows a survey by Bold 2in1 White Diamond and Lotus Flower, which said 87pc of women in Manchester would like to be more eleganct but didn't have the cash. Also on offer is the chance to win a fab silk scarf from the designer label ISSA, favoured by the likes of Madonna and the Sex And The City girls.

2, It's all about Pride
It's the street festival of the year so don't miss the annual Pride event this summer. It promises to be bigger and better than ever before spanning 10 days of fab events.
