So can I have his screwdriver then?

WHY send a male reporter to comment on a DIY course designed for women - were your female reporters too busy embroidering kitten pictures or painting their finger nails?

The only valuable comment Conrad Astley (Metromagazine, October 28) made was that men find it easier to use hand drills as they can put more weight behind them, which sadly showed that what we really needed was a woman's perspective on DIY.

Even with enthusiasm and technical ability we still have stereotypical problems usually to do with our strength.

To compound insult to injury he then stated he would place his free electric screwdriver in his never-to-be-used draw. Would it be possible to send this screwdriver to me? I would use it.

You see women have another problem with screwdrivers - having enough strength to get the screw tight enough especially in wood, and electric screwdrivers are a godsend.
