Issue needed highlighting

THANK you for highlighting the issue of school places.
I made considerable efforts to find out what the council was doing in an attempt to solve the oversubscription of several local schools but never got a proper response – two departments each claimed it was the other’s responsibility.
The complacency was breathtaking as was the patronising ‘there, there, dear – your child will get a school place at one of Trafford’s excellent schools, so don’t worry!’ attitude.
At last this issue has been noted – shame on you Trafford!
And wouldn’t it be marvellous if someone capable of joined-up-thinking decided that maybe Cherry Manor school isn’t surplus to requirements after all.
