WE WANT to thank all the volunteers on Sale Festival committee and voluntary organisations who were involved in the Sale Festival this year.
The committee is made up of a keen dedicated group of people who in their spare time have worked all year round to ensure that the people of Sale can celebrate.
They bring together local groups and organisations to hold ten days of events for local people of all ages to enjoy.
We hope also that perhaps even more local volunteers will be interested in joining and getting involved with the groups. Many thanks to support from the British Red Cross, WRVS, 318 Squadron Air Training Corps, to our sponsors, Slater Heelis Collier and Littler, Flynn Utilities, the Mayoral Fund, Lauriston Trust, Greater Manchester Community Foundation, the Square Management, Trafford Council and Waterside Arts Centre and all who helped the volunteers to pack so much into the time they had.
Special thanks to our President Betty Gallimore for her overriding enthusiasm for the festival and to the mayor Councillor Adshead and mayoress Judith Lloyd for their fantastic support for so many of the events.
We hope that any organisations interested in being in our Sale Festival 2009 will contact us and join in the fun and help us to make it better than ever.
