Letter was not unreasonable

16/ 5/2008

RE: JAMES Lee’s letter (‘Name calling is not the way forward, Metro 02.05.08). The letter links the views of Mr Winchester and Hitler.

Mr Winchester seems to deplore cruelty to animals and dislike evasive politicians. He also seems to classify as ‘religious crackpots’ those who believe that religious texts give people valid reasons to cut the throats of conscious animals.

There is nothing in Mr Winchester’s letter to suggest that he would want to infringe anyone’s legitimate rights.

Indeed, there is nothing unreasonable in his letter at all.
