Baugh is talking Newlabourspeak

I HAVE read with great interest the recent letters on animal welfare, starting with the one from Jim Burns (Metro News, March 7).
For readers who do not understand Newlabourspeak, I have ‘translated’ Councillor Jane Baugh’s letter (Metro 04.04.08) into English as follows: "I am not going to publish my opinion on halal or kosher meat because Labour candidates would lose votes from religious crackpots and I wouldn’t expect the extra votes from people who cared about animals to compensate for this."
