Well done to football champs

I WRITE to congratulate all the players and officials at Trafford Football Club.
Last week the club became champions of the Vodkat League, when they defeated Formby by five goals to one.
With several matches still to be played, Trafford were so far ahead of their rivals that they could not be caught. During the Formby game the Trafford Male Voice Choir sang their usual entertaining ditties behind the visitor’s goal. The choir brings matches alive with its outstanding efforts.
After this deciding match the supporters let off rockets which burst above the pitch as the players celebrated.
The entire team then ran abreast towards the supporters, throwing themselves to the ground in a dramatic mass dive.
One supporter quipped "what about the laundry bill?". Flixton FC have also enjoyed a successful season in the North West Counties League. Urmston is indeed fortunate to have two excellent semi-professional soccer clubs.
