Please address discrepancy

RE: THE article ‘the Class with No Teacher.’ How well it blends genuine sympathy for the plight of the two ladies with amused incredulity at the idiotic bureaucracy that placed them there.
However, whilst we share these sentiments, our interest was aroused by the price the ladies were paying for the 50+ activity morning.
Only last month Bernard Jones, chief executive of the Leisure Trust, was busily telling all and sundry (via the local papers) that the 100 per cent increase to the charge for swim and gym for pensioners would, through the use of the Active Trafford Plan, allow everyone to do everything for £1, e.g. table tennis, badminton, aqua aerobics, etc.
This was also implied in the Trafford Community Leisure Trust letter, dated February 27, which informed all Active Leisure Pensioners that the £1 charge would be for all ‘classes.’
Come on Mr Jones – explain the discrepancy.
