FORMER slipper operative at J H Hirst Mrs Kathleen Edwards, of The Laurels Nursing Home, Bacup, died at home, aged 87.
She was a member of the Thursday Club at the Rose ‘n’ Bowl, Stacksteads, and had been a member of St Peter’s RC Church, Newchurch, since she was five.
Wife of the late John and mother of the late John, she leaves her daughter-in-law Diane, grandson Christian and his partner Gill great-granddaughter Rhianna, best friend Jean and friends at Irwell House, Waterfoot.
Her funeral is on Monday 27 October when Father Philip Boast will conduct a service at St Joseph and St Peter RC Church, Newchurch, at 10.15am before cremation at Accrington at 11.40am. Family flowers only with donations to Rossendale Hospice.
