A HELPER in her daughter‘s hair salon Sheila’s in Rising Bridge, Mrs Kathleen Holden, of Church Street, Haslingden, died at the Linden’s Care Home, Haslingden, aged 92.
She was a devoted family lady and spent her early working life at Hollands. For the last 10 years she will be remembered for working in her daughter’s salon
Mrs Holden, known as Kitty, lived at Stonefold for more than 20 years before moving to Church Street. She enjoyed going to Blackpool, a game of bingo and was an avid sports fan and expecially enjoyed watching Wimbledon and snooker.
Wife of the late Ralph, she leaves her daughters Sheila and Kathleen, sons-in-law Ken and Terry, grandsons Neil and Andrew and her sister Tessie.
Her funeral was on Friday 3 October when Father Richard O’Connor celebrated Requiem Mass at St Mary’s RC Church, Haslingden, before interment in Haslingden cemetery.
