THE last thing I bought in Afflecks Palace was a trendy T-shirt. I got home, put it on, looked at myself in the mirror and said: "Hello Mr Mutton."
I realised I’d become too old for the iconic store.
Nevertheless, I was delighted to report that the Bohemian shopping centre had been saved. It’s one of the few things that now marks Manchester city centre out as being a bit special.
