I've got tin-itus

Richard Butt
4/ 4/2008

PROFESSOR Adrian Davis, a hearing expert at Manchester University, says people who listen to iPods or other Mp3 players are risking their hearing because they have them on so loudly.

It seems that youngsters (at least on my tram) are heeding this warning.

They like to listen to their music on mobile phones now instead.

They don’t have earphones, so we all get to revel in their favourite tunes. The biggest problem, however, is not the anti-social nature of this behaviour. It’s that the tinny mobile phone speakers have the uncanny knack of making everything sound just like Pinky and Perky.
