I’VE been mentioned in Heat magazine. So I’m on the cusp of being the calibre of celebrity I’ve never heard of.
Wayne Ankers works on the newsdesk of the Manchester Evening News. For some reason, his name is deemed to be funny and Heat’s gone on about it for a while.
Now a former colleague has written in about my name. In my defence, not many people shorten my first name to Dick. My middle name, Roger, was not a verb when I was christened. And "butt" didn’t have its American meaning in Britain when I was born.
